In this Sefer, Rabbi Kessin explores the mitzvah of Shmirat Halashon, guarding one’s tongue, and the incredible spiritual impact our words have on ourselves, others, and the fabric of Creation itself. To join the group, click here: JEMS WhatsApp Group

Together, we study a portion of the Sefer and discuss the practical implications and applications for our daily lives. Sigalit reads a section in the book and shares it with the group. Ladies then ask questions and make comments about the section. This takes only about 15 minutes a day and we tap into the abundant blessings that keeping this mitzvah offers, including G-D’s promise that He will save us from every kind of tzarah - troubles, calamities, catastrophes, etc. Once a month, we will hold a live Zoom meeting to review what we have learned and address any questions and concerns for all participants.

JEMS (Jewish Experience for Mothers and Sisters) was founded by Sigalit Laredo as a global initiative to inspire and empower Jewish women to strengthen Jewish values within their families and communities. JEMS is a kiruv organization dedicated to helping women live with deeper meaning, connection, and purpose. Sigalit Laredo, born in Haifa, Israel, and raised in Montreal, Canada, after her family immigrated there, is an educator, motivational speaker, and community leader with over 30 years of experience in Montreal’s Jewish community.

She currently teaches as a guest speaker in high schools and seminaries and leads Hafrashat Challah events at synagogues throughout the year. Sigalit lectures internationally—in four languages—on topics such as living inspired, passionate prayer, the power of Shabbat, the gift of Mikvah, the kavanot of Challah-making, Shmirat Halashon, Shalom Bayit, and building Jewish homes while raising proud and responsible children.
